Lifeskills’ intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides flexible, structured mental health treatment for adults with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions — available as a step-down from higher levels of care or as a direct admission.
What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program?
Lifeskills’ intensive outpatient program (IOP) involves 10 hours of weekly treatment, typically over 8 to 12 weeks, and is available as a step-down from residential treatment or partial hospitalization (PHP), or as a direct admission. The flexibility of IOP allows clients to continue working, attending school, and fulfilling daily responsibilities while receiving structured, evidence-based mental health treatment.
The foundation of Lifeskills IOP is group therapy, including specialty groups:
- Cognitive behavioral therapy group
- Dialectical behavior therapy group
- Healthy relationships group
- Life skills group
- Mindfulness group
- Relapse prevention group
